Women's cross country signs "impact runner"

runner.
San Jose, Calif.-----Erica Sahli, a two-time California state high school girls’ cross country participant, signed a National Letter-of-Intent to enroll at San Jose State University in the 2004 fall semester. Sahli be a freshman on upcoming women’s cross country team.

"Erica is a great student athlete and will be an instant impact to our team. We are thrilled to have her," says San Jose State University cross country coach Augie Argabright.

Sahli presently attends at Villa Park High School, in Villa Park, Calif. In 2002 she helped lead her team to a fifth place finish at the California High School Cross Country Championships and in 2003 she qualified to participate as an individual. Sahli constantly runs the 5k race in 18 minutes. She was named "Most Valuable Player" on her team three times and was a four-time all-league selection. In addition, Sahli has been the team captain for the last two years.
