Women's Cross Country Wins Bronco Invitational

Belmont, Calif.-----The San Jose State University women’s cross country team finished first in a meet for the second time this season as the Spartans captured the Bronco Invitational held at the Crystal Springs Course on October 6.

San Jose State had three runners in the top-10 led by senior Ana Martinez. She posted a time of 17:55. No other runner bettered the 18-minute mark. Martinez was 37 seconds better than second-place finisher Allegra Porter of Saint Mary’s College.

Ashleigh Nebeker, fifth at 19:04, and her sister Kim Nebeker, seventh at 19:10, also were among the top-10 individuals.
