Women's Cross Country Heads To WAC Championship

San Jose State women's cross country will end the 2010 season this Saturday, October 30, at the WAC Championship in Moscow, Idaho.

The 5K race hosted by the University of Idaho will be held at Virgil Phillips Farm County Park located about five miles north of Moscow.

The Spartans have been chosen to finish eighth out of the nine teams in the field by the WAC Coaches' Poll released on Tuesday.

Kate Lambdin and Elizabeth Raymond have led San Jose State all season long. Lambdin started off the year by winning the Battle of the Bay race on September 4, and Raymond has been the team's top finisher three times this season.

"Our runners are in good shape for the final race of the year," said Spartans' head coach Augie Argabright. "we'll be out there to give it our best shot against the rest of the conference."

The women's race at the WAC Championship is set to begin at 9 a.m.
