Lambdin In Top-10; Spartans Eighth At Gator Invite

San Francisco, Calif. -- San Jose State women's cross country came in eighth place out of 17 teams in the Gator invitational on October 8.

Kate Lambdin and Elizabeth Raymond led the Spartans who totaled 188 points, which was 140 behind the race winner, Santa Clara.

Lambdin finished the 6K course in 23:01 giving her a tenth place individual finish. Raymond shortly followed with a 12th place finish in 23:11.

Lauren Dubay, Sasha Martinez and Megan Arias rounded out the top five for San Jose State.

"Kate and Beth both ran a great race today, and the others stepped up when we needed them too," said Spartans' Head coach Augie Argabright.

The women's cross country team will get back to action next week at the Bronco Open in nearby Sunnyvale, Calif.
