Hall breaks 18:00 mark in 5,000 at USF Invitational

San Francisco, Calif. (April 29) -----Junior-to-be Tiffany Hall was the top finisher among the San Jose State University women’s cross country runners in the 5,000 meters run at the University of San Francisco Track and Field Invitational held at Kezar Stadium.

Hall, one of the Spartans’ top runners the last two seasons, finished sixth in a field of 19 entrants in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:56.67. Katie Fontana, who ran for Team Mizuno, won the race with a 17:18.43 clocking.

Two other Spartans finished in the top-10. Erica Sahli was seventh with a time of 18:24.99 while Judy DeLong was ninth at 19:34.42.

Mobin Ghouri of the Spartan men’s cross country team finished ninth in the men’s 5,000 meter run with a 17:01.20 clocking.
