Women's cross country runners take six of the top-10 places at Wildflower 10k run

Morgan Hill, Calif.----- San Jose State University cross country runners accounted for seven of the top-10 finishers at the 23rd annual AAUW (American Association of University Women) Wildflower 10k run.

Junior-to-be Erica Sahli was the first Spartan to cross the finish line with a time of 37:42.7. She was second overall in the female division. Kari Bertrand edged out Sahli with a 37:37.4 clocking.

Tiffany Hall, a senior-to-be was third with a 38:27.9 clocking. Heather Loptalo at 39:01.5, Tabitha Guzman at 39:36.6, Allison Stiller at 39:41.7 and Rebecca Palm with a 39:52.5 time also ran better than 40:00.0.

“This is the first time we’ve had more than five girls with a time of less than 40 minutes in this race,” said San Jose State University cross country coach Augie Argabright.
