Sept. 3, 2016

San Francisco, Calif. – In her first meet as collegiate runner, Jenny Sandoval delivered on high expectations finishing in fifth place for the San José State women’s cross country team in the 24th University of San Francisco Cross Country Invitational.  The Spartans were fourth among eight Division I teams that competed on the 6K Golden Gate Park course.

Sandoval finished in 21:10.9.  Jeannette Zambrano was the second Spartan to cross the line.  She ran 22:03.4 and was in 24th place.  Adilene Aldapa was 33rd and Karina Nunes 34th in times of 22:41.7 and 22:42.1, respectively.
