When the San Jose State University team held its annual Alumni match in October, one gold and two silver medalists from world championship women's water polo events from the previous 15 months were in the pool.
All-Americans Juliet Moss (2006-09), who held the Spartans' career goal-scoring record for two years, and Adriana Vogt (2008-11), who broke Moss' record last season were two of the San Jose State Alumni team members.
Moss played for the USA team that won the gold medal at the 2010 Women's FINA World Cup in Christchurch, New Zealand. Vogt was on the USA team that captured a silver medal at the 2011 World University Games in Shenzhen, China.
Sophomore Timi Molnar, the 2011 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Freshman of the Year, is back with the Spartans after helping Hungary win a silver medal at the 2011 Junior FINA World Championship in Trieste, Italy.
The San Jose State team opens its 2012 season with the Spartan Invitational, January 21 & 22, at The Aquatics Center.
