Water Polo Falls To UCLA In MPSF Quarters

No. 9 seed San Jose State fell to undefeated and #1 ranked UCLA in the quarterfinals of the MPSF Championships by a 12-1 margin. The Bruins improve to 28-0 on the season, while the Spartans drop to 15-14.

UCLA raced out to a 5-0 lead early in the first quarter before SJSU dented the scoreboard with seven seconds left in the period on a Juliet Moss score. The Bruins continued to frustrate the Spartan offense in the second stanza, holding it scoreless while tacking on five more goals to take a commanding 10-1 lead into the break.

San Jose State will now face the loser of the San Diego State - Hawaii game.
