Juliet Moss - MPSF Player of the Week

Woodland, Calif.-----Juliet Moss, who set the San Jose State University single-season and career scoring records in the April 18 win at UC Davis, was named one of two Mountain Pacific Sports Federation women’s water polo Players of the Week.

    The senior from San Jose scored four goals in the Spartans’ 14-5 victory over the Aggies in the team’s only match of the week ending April 19. Her scores gave her a season total of 74 eclipsing the old school of 71 and a career total of 200 exceeding the previous San Jose State high of 198.

    The 2-meter star is a two-time conference Player of the Week winner in 2009. She received the honor following the Spartans’ four wins in four matches at the Arizona State Invitational the weekend of March 28-29. Moss shares the current award with University of Southern California goalkeeper Tumua Anae.

    San Jose State returns to action, Friday, April 24, in a first-round conference tournament match against the University of California at the University of Hawaii’s Duke Kahanamoku Aquatics Complex. Match time is 7:30 p.m. (HST)/10:30 p.m. (PDT).
