After a bye week, the San Jose State University women's water polo seeks its first conference win of the season at the University of Hawaii, Saturday, March 24, in a 6:00 p.m. (HST) match.
The Spartans (12-8, 0-3 MPSF) head to Hawaii ranked ninth nationally and in search of their sixth win in their last seven outings. Only a 7-5 loss to #1-ranked UCLA in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) action stands in the way of a longer winning streak.
Hawaii (7-9, 0-4 MPSF) is ranked in a tie for 17th nationally. The Rainbow Wahine won three out of four at the Aztec Invitational last week.
San Jose State won the last meeting between these teams, 11-9, in a 2011 MPSF Tournament quarterfinal round match. Since 2008, Hawaii has wins in the last three meetings between these teams in Honolulu by a total of five goals.
