Vogt MPSF Player of the Week

Woodland, Calif.-----Adriana Vogt was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) women's water polo Player of the Week for matches ending March 13.

Vogt became San Jose State's career scoring leader during the Spartans four-win weekend at the Aztec Invitational hosted by San Diego State. One of those victories was an 11-8 win over #9-ranked and MPSF conference opponent San Diego State. The San Jose State co-captain was the match's high scorer with four of her weekend's 15 goals.

Vogt now has 213 goals in three-plus seasons and an MPSF best 54 scores in 2011. In the last two weekend tournaments, she scored 31 times in eight matches.

Armed with a season-high seven match winning streak, the Spartans (14-8) host Harvard (10-6), March 16, in a non-conference contest at the Aquatics Center on the San Jose State campus. Match time is 4:15 p.m. (PDT) and there is no admission charge. Parking is available in the nearby 7th street garage.
