#8-Spartans Host #3-UCLA In Water Polo Home Finale

    #8-ranked San Jose State University hosts #3-ranked UCLA in the final home women’s water polo and a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match of the 2009 season, Saturday, March 14, at The Aquatics Center.

    The Spartans (8-10, 1-3 MPSF) look for their first victory in six matches. San Jose State continues to its path through the toughest segment of the season. The Spartans’ last five matches have been against teams ranked sixth or higher in the national poll and three have been against either the number-one or two ranked team of the time.

    Earlier in the season, UCLA (15-3, 4-0 MPSF) defeated San Jose State, 13-6, at the Stanford Invitational.

    The Bruins are playing three matches in three days hosting UC Irvine on March 12 and traveling to Santa Clara on March 13.

    Before the match, San Jose State will recognize its three seniors goalkeeper Kelly Kennison and field players Tanya Torres and Juliet Moss.
