Irvine, Calif.-----For the second day in a row and the fourth time in February, the San Jose State University women's water polo team split a pair of matches in tournament competition.

The #9-ranked Spartans finished in 11th place out of 16 teams at the UC Irvine Invitational defeating #13-UC Santa Barbara, 12-10, but lost to #16-Loyola Marymount, 10-9, in their morning match.
