Water Polo Handles Pacific 17-4

Water polo rolled over Pacific Sunday afternoon by the final tally of 17-4 as 10 different players scored for the Spartans. San Jose State improves to 5-1 on the season while Pacific falls to 0-2.


“I thought it was a total team effort today,” said head coach Lou Tully. “A lot of people played and we showed much better energy and focus, especially coming off a tough game (against Cal) Saturday.”


Bridget McKee, Juliet Moss and Adrianna Vogt each scored three goals for the Spartans. Kathryn Hannum added two goals.


Defensively, Kendra Adama had two saves in goal. Kelly Kennison and Lauren Lewis each played in the cage and added one stop each.


Next up for the Spartans is the Stanford Tournament on Saturday, February 9. They face Hawaii in the opening match.
