Water Polo Faces Cal, Hosts Pacific

Head coach Lou Tully and the women's water polo team will travel to Berkeley Saturday, February 2 for a showdown against the California Golden Bears before hosting Pacific Sunday afternoon at The Aquatics Center.

The Spartans opened the 2008 season with a visit to the University of Michigan Kickoff in Ann Arbor. Paced by Kendra Adama's solid performance in goal and a varied offensive attack, San Jose posted a perfect 4-0 mark. Victories over UCSD, Indiana, Colorado State and host Michigan have the team off to its best start in years.

Adama recorded 32 saves, including stopping a Michigan penalty shot to preserve the win over the Wolverines. Juliet Moss paced the Spartan attack with 10 goals in the four games, followed by Tanya Torres (9) and Bridget McKee (7).
