Water Polo Takes First Two At Michigan Kick-Off

Ann Arbor, Mich.-----Bridget McKee scored seven goals in two matches leading San Jose State University to a pair of wins in the Michigan Kick-Off to open the 2010 women's water polo season.

            McKee, one of two seniors on the Spartans (2-0) ranked sixth in the preseason national coaches' poll, scored four goals in a 13-3 win over Colorado State. She followed up with three more scores in an 8-6 victory over #18-Indiana.

            Dani Curran, Anna Natalizio and Janessa Schmidbauer also scored in both San Jose State wins.

            Number-one goalkeeper Meagan Minson was credited with nine saves in the Colorado State. She played the entire game against Indiana and made 13 saves.

            The Spartans conclude play in the season-opening tournament Sunday, January 24, against UC San Diego.
