Buzzetta Hat Trick Keys #5-Spartans

San Jose, Calif.-----Katie Buzzetta scored all three of her goals in the first half as #5-ranked San Jose State completed a perfect weekend in the season-opening Spartan Invitational women's water polo tournament with an 8-6 win over #16-ranked UC Davis.

Two of Buzzetta's three scores came on second-quarter power plays helping the Spartans (3-0) take a 5-2 lead into the second half.

Returning All-American All-American Dani Curran was San Jose State's other multi-goal scorer with two. Rachel Henry's first period go-ahead score at 2-1, and one each by Anna Natalizio and Allie Stewart accounted for the rest of the Spartan scoring.

Earlier in final day of the two-day, seven team tournament, San Jose State easily defeated the Fraser Valley Club of Surrey, British Columbia, 20-10, in an exhibition match.
