AT SAN JOSE STATE: In her fourth season with the Spartans... One of five goalkeepers on the team... Has a single-match high of 10 saves in a 2015 win over Redlands... Serves as an official scorer for selected home matches.
2016: Saw action in four matches... Played a complete match and was credited with a season-high eight saves in the 13-4 win over Sonoma State in the LouStrong Invitational... Matched her single-match season-high eight saves playing only in the second half of the 9-5 win vs. Santa Clara (2/19).
2015: Played in two matches and made one start... Was credited with 10 saves in the 20-1 win over Redlands (3/22) in Tempe, Ariz. ... Saw action in the second half of the 21-7 victory over Hartwick (3/22) and allowed five goals while stopping eight shots.
2014: Spent the season as a redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in water polo (Coach Michael Saldana) and swimming at Granite Bay (Calif.) High... A two-time first-team All-Sierra Foothill League goalkeeper... Water polo team captain her junior and senior seasons... Named her team's Most Valuable Player in swimming.
SARA: A child and adolescent development major... Played club water polo for the Sacramento Water Polo Club (Coach Michael Saldana)... Enjoys camping and hiking... She is a native of Walnut Creek, Calif.
