2014 Team Summer European Trip

The Spartans trained in Spain and Hungary during the summer of 2014.

AT SAN JOSE STATE: In her fourth season with the Spartans... One of the team's capable sprinters and top individual defenders... Increased her season's scoring in each of her three seasons... A 2014-15 San Jose State Scholar-Athlete... Named to the 2015 and 2016 Association for Collegiate Water Polo Coaches national All-Academic teams... A 2015 and 2016 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) All-Academic team honoree... 12 career contests scoring two or more goals... Personal best three goals scored in a match three times including twice against CSU Bakersfield... Co-captain for the 2016 and 2017 teams.

2016: Played in all 33 matches... Personal single-season scoring best of 26 goals... Opened the season with a goal in each of the first eight matches... Three matches of two or more goals... Matched her single-match career best of three goals in a 13-8 loss at #5-Arizona State (4/9)... Scored twice in wins over #25-Cal State Northridge (3/19) and Pomona Pitzer (4/3).

2015: Appeared in all 31 matches... 21 goals... Sixth on the team in scoring... Scored in 15 matches including each of the last four of the season... Four multi-goal scoring matches... One of three Spartans to score in each of the MPSF Tournament contests... Single-match scoring best three goals in the 15-3 win over Cal State Monterey Bay (1/17) in the LouStrong Memorial and in the CSU Bakersfield conference victory (4/18) to close the regualr season.

2014: Played in all 33 matches... Eighth on the team in scoring with 19 goals... Scored in 13 matches... Had five multi-goal matches including a season-high three goals in the CSU Bakersfield victory (1/18) at the Bruin Invitational in Los Angeles... Shared the team-high scoring honors with two in the MPSF Tournament fifth-place match with USC (4/27)... One of three Spartans to score in both USC matches... Had two goals including one in a 6-0 Spartan outburst in the 11-9 comeback win over #14-Indiana (3/18).

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from the National Sport School in Calgary, Alberta.

CARA: A child and adolescent development major... Would like to become a kindergarten teacher... First started playing water polo at age seven... Played club water polo for the Calgary Renegades (Coach John Csikos)... A member of the 2013 Canadian National Women's National Team... Played for the 2011 and 2012 Canadian Junior National Team... Contributed to Canada's second-place finish at the 2012 Junior Pan American Games in Montreal... Also has played in Greece, Italy and Australia... Scott Robinson, her brother, was a member of the 2011 through 2014 Canadian Men's National Water Polo Teams... Cara is a native of Calgary, Alberta.
