Three Spartan Volleyball Players Receive All-WAC Honors

DenverThree San Jose State volleyball players, Kelly Crow, Brianna Amian and Colleen Burke, have been named to various All-Western Athletic Conference teams, as selected by the conference’s head coaches.

Crow was named to the first team All-WAC and currently leads the Spartans in kills with 353, 3.53 per set.  She recorded double-figure kills in 22 of her 27 matches played and 20 or more kills in three matches.  Crow also had 10 double-doubles on the season.


Amian and Burke were each second team All-WAC selections.  Amian is second on the team in kills with 255, 2.52 per set, and has 168 digs and 54 blocks.  Burke leads the team in hitting percentage at .297, and had 60 digs and a team-best 26 service aces.

San Jose State begins play at the 2008 WAC Volleyball Tournament presented by the Harris Agency Thursday afternoon.  The Spartans are the fifth-seed and play fourth-seed Utah State at 2:30 p.m. HST/4:30 p.m. PST.  Live streaming video can be found at WAC.tv.
