Colorado Springs, Colo.--San José State junior middle blocker Mary Alice O'Reilly has been named the Mountain West Volleyball Player of the Week for her performances the week of November 4-10.
O'Reilly led San José State to a pair of 3-2 victories over San Diego State and UNLV. Against the Aztecs, she led the team with career bests of 19 kills and 12 blocks. She became the 23rd player in school history to record 10 or more blocks and the ninth to record 12 blocks in a match.
In the win over UNLV, O'Reilly was one of two Spartans to record a team-high 18 kills. She also had three blocks and two digs in the amtch.
For the week, O'Reilly hit .325 and averaged 3.70 kills and 1.50 blocks per set.
San José State takes a three-match winning streak on the road this week with matches at Utah State on Thursday and at Boise State on Saturday.
