Volleyball Falls At Idaho, 3-0

Moscow, Idaho-Hanah Blume recorded her second consecutive double-double, but the San Jose State volleyball team fell at Idaho 25-21, 25-19, 25-19, Monday night in a Western Athletic Conference match.

Blume led the Spartans with 12 kills and added 10 digs in three sets played.  She hit .296 with 27 attempts and just four hitting errors. 

Others contributing included Katie Turner who led the team with 21 digs, the third time this season she has recorded 20 or more digs in a match.  Sarah McAtee came off the bench and had eight kills and hit .263.  Caitlin Adrade added 36 assists, six digs and four kills.

Other hitters included Alex Akana with seven kills.  Brianna Amian had six kills and collected three digs.  Sarah Griest and Kylie Miraldi had two kills each.

"We battled hard tonight but were not on top of our game offensively," said Spartan head coach Oscar Crespo.  "Our passing was solid, but we had too many hitting errors and were not there offensively tonight."

San Jose State returns home this week for two WAC matches.  The Spartans host New Mexico State Thursday and Louisiana Tech Saturday.  Both matches begin at 7 p.m., inside Spartan Gym, located on the corner of Fourth and San Carlos Streets.
