“Overall, this was a good weekend for us,” said San Jose State head coach Oscar Crespo.  “We had a great opportunity to beat Loyola Marymount, but we have to learn how to finish matches.  It was nice to see us bounce back against a good Pittsburgh team after coming off an emotional match.

“I am really happy with how our outsides and our offense are playing.  We had a very productive weekend and are getting better as we head into conference play next week.”

San Jose State returns home next week to start Western Athletic Conference play.  The Spartans host Boise State on Thursday and Utah State on Saturday.  Both matches begin at 7 p.m., in Spartan Gym.  Tickets are available at the door at $5 for adults, $3 for youth 12 and under and free for San Jose State students with a valid Tower ID.
