“Overall, I was really pleased with our effort this afternoon,” said San Jose State head coach Oscar Crespo. “We controlled the match very well. Our team was down in set three and came back as a group to win the match. Also, we were able to give a lot of players experience on the floor, and I think the nerves are out now.”

The third set was a battle as the lead changed three times, and the score was tied five times. San Jose State came back from deficits of 5-1 and 12-5, and took its final lead at 27-26.
