Blume Leads Volleyball With 16 Kills

Fort Collins, Colo.— Hanah Blume led all hitters with 16 kills, but the San José State volleyball team hit just .163 in a 3-0 loss at #12 Colorado State Saturday afternoon in a Mountain West match.

Blume hit .424 on the match with her 16 kills on 33 attempts and just two errors.  She added six digs in the match.

Four other Spartans combined for the other 15 kills the team recorded.  Mary Alice O'Reilly had six kills on 19 attempts, and Lauren Jacobsen added four kills.

Michaela Leonard had 30 assists, while Jacobsen led the team with eight digs.  Cori O'Donoghue added seven digs and the team’s only service ace.

San José State returns home Friday, November 1, for a conference match against Fresno State.  First serve is set for 7 p.m., at The Event Center.
