2017: Saw action in the final match of the season after injuries hampered her season…had one attempt against Utah State.

2016: Played in 27 matches and 94 sets...averaging 2.22 kills and 0.44 blocks per set...double-figure kills in 13 matches...13 kills at Houston and 12 kills against North Texas, Louisiana Monroe, Houston Baptist, Colorado State, Fresno State and at Air Force...two assists against Long Beach State...three digs at Houston and two digs in five matches...two solo blocks against San Diego State...five block assists versus Cal State Fullerton...three blocks against Manhattan, at Houston, San Diego State (twice) and Fresno State...named to the Spartan Invitational All-Tournament team.

2015:  Played in 20 matches and 53 sets…averaged 1.85 kills and 1.99 points per set…missed the month of November due to an injury…career-best 15 kills against Incarnate Word and UT Rio Grande Valley…added 12 kills against Quinnipiac and 11 against Sacramento State and Southern…seven digs at Utah State…three blocks, one solo and two assists, against Incarnate Word…three block assists at Boise State…named to the UTRGV Tournament All-Tournament team.

2014:  Granted a medical redshirt after suffering an injury early in the season…played in 11 matches and 33 sets…averaged 1.82 kills, 0.36 digs and 0.21 blocks per set prior to the injury…season-best 13 kills at Elon and 12 against Portland…added eight kills against Maryland and UMass Lowell…three digs against Liberty…solo blocks against Elon and Maryland…four block assists.

2015 BEACH:  Finished the season 1-15 including 1-13 in dual matches…was 0-3 at number-two position and 1-10 at number three…played first eight matches with Yavianliz Rosado and final eight matches with Julie Sam…with Rosado, only win of season came against Santa Clara pair…match went three sets, winning 15-13 in final set.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played four years at Tucson High School for head coach Wendy Parra…2013 Tucson Citizen Southern Arizona Player of the Year…first team all-division honoree in Division II…first team All-Arizona Daily selection as a senior…recorded 426 kills, 4.1 per set, and 219 digs her senior year…2013 team won the Division II Section II championship and advanced to the state semifinals…finished the 2013 season with a 39-4 record…also played soccer for two years and did high jump one year…played club for Zona VB Club 18-1 team...team placed fifth at 2013 Nationals – National Division.

PERSONAL:  Majoring in kinesiology with an emphasis in rehab sciences…would like to be physical therapist after graduation…two-time Academic All-Mountain West honoree…SAAC representative…mother Nancy played volleyball at Utah State and is a retired fire captain…father Chris has finished 11 ultra marathons…brother Tanner played rugby at the University of Texas…likes hiking and photography…Summer Avery was born in Tucson, Ariz.
