Volleyball Upsets #19 Colorado State On Saturday

The Spartans snapped the Rams 15-match winning streak and handed them just their third loss of the season.

First year at San José State.

2017: Appeared in 17 matches and 47 sets...averaged 0.53 kills and 0.51 blocks per set… made her Spartan debut at UC Riverside and had three kill attempts and a dig in the match...season-best 10 kills in win at UNLV...added five kills in a win over Colorado State, four kills at New Mexico...first kill against Montana...only assists at Drake and versus Kansas...one dig in five matches...three block assists against Montana, at UNLV and versus Wyoming and Colorado State... two block assists at Drake, versus Kansas, at New Mexico and against Utah State...one block at Wyoming, against San Diego State and at Boise State. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Christian Brothers High School in 2017…four-year letterwinner and starter for head coach Jamea Todd…two-time All-Capital Athletic League honoree… team faced Archbishop Mitty in the first round of the 2016 CIF State Girls Volleyball Championship after winning the CIF Sac-Joaquin Division III Section with a 3-0 victory against Sonora…played at the 33rd annual Optimist All-Star game in Sacramento on the Division II South team…played club for Northern California Volleyball Club…earned five Open Division Junior Olympic bids…her 16s team (Five Starz) won the national championship in the national division in 2015.

PERSONAL: Intends to major in health science…would like to be a pediatric nutritionist after graduation…likes running and being at the beach…Ryann M Thomison was born in Sacramento, Calif.
