Indoor Track and Field Season Begins Saturday At Jacksons Open

The San José State women's track and field team will make its 2015 indoor season debut this Saturday, December 12, at the Jacksons Open in Nampa, Idaho.
Five Spartans: Jelia Brice-Montgomery, Chidinma Nwokocha, Kolbi Sims, Ashley Sidhu and Natalie Gutierrez will be competing in their first-career track and field meet for San José State.
The SJSU sprint crew will be on display in the 60 and 200-meter dashes, along with the 60-meter hurdles and the 4x400-meter relay.
Reining Mountain West long jump champion Kelsey Johnson-Upshaw will be in action for her signature event Saturday alongside Cambree Harbaugh, Leah Lambert and Sims. The Spartans will also be in action for the high jump, triple jump and shot put events.
The first event for the Spartans is the long jump, beginning at 11:00 a.m. MST. Live stats for the all-day meet are available here.
