Your Chance To Compete For The SJSU Women's Track & Field Team Is Here

On September 15, 2016, you have the opportunity to be a part of San José State University’s 2016-17 women’s track and field team as Director of Track & Field Jeff Petersmeyer invites current full-time San José State students to compete in tryouts.
 
A mandatory meeting in the Alan B. Simpkins Building (1393. S. 7th Street) at 2:00 p.m., on September 15 will take place before the tryout. Those interested in participating must attend the meeting and provide:
 
  • A signed PPE Form (see coach Kelley Watson) from a physician proving a physical taken in the last calendar year.
  •  Proof of current health insurance (i.e., health insurance card or papers from an insurer.
  •  Final transcripts from your previous institution, and current SJSU class schedule with proof of enrollment in at least 12 units.
  •  Registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center, including certified final amateurism, and a Member Number are also mandatory prerequisites for the tryout.


 
At the tryout following the meeting, the coaching staff will conduct sprint time trials and some event-specific observation.
