The San José State women's track and field team has a split-squad weekend up ahead with jumpers competing at the Air Force Invitational while sprinters and distance runners will be at the University of Washington Invitational.
"The meet at UW will be the opener for our distance group and I'm excited to see where we are at after a great cross country season," said Director of Track and Field Jeff Petersmeyer. "The sprint-jump group has had a solid two weeks of training since our last meet in Nampa and I know we can go out and put some good marks in the books this weekend."
The Spartans will be active in the high, long and triple jumps at the Air Force Invitational. Destiny Longmire's 6.39 meter mark in the long jumper is tops among the 27 entries while Kelsey Johnson-Upshaw's 6.24 meters Cambree Harbaugh's 6.06 meters come in third and fifth respectively.
Kolbi Sims and Natalie Gutierrez will compete in the high jump while Harbaugh, Johnson-Upshaw, Brittany Brown and Nicole Iloanya are set for the triple jump. See the link above for the full start list and meet schedule.
