Harbaugh Sweeps Pair Of Jumps; Moves Onto NCAA Prelims Radar

Sacramento State Open Results

Sacramento, Calif. ----- Cambree Harbaugh made the best of her final regular season outing by winning both the long jump and the triple jump at the Sacramento State Open.

The junior from Meridian, Idaho, not only won the triple jump but her distance of 12.29 meters is a college best and ranks tied for 50th in the NCAA West Region.

The top-48 long jumpers in the region will compete at the NCAA Championship West Preliminaries in Austin, Texas on May 25-27.

Harbaugh’s winning distance in the long jump was 5.80 meters. Teammate Kelsey Johnson-Upshaw finished third with a distance of 5.39 meters.

On the track Diamond Tabron and Jayla Williams finished second and third respectively in the 100-meter dash. Tabron clocked a 12.76 while Williams crossed the line in 12.93.

Next up for the Spartans is the Mountain West Women’s Track & Field Championships on May 10-13 in Logan, Utah.
