Stanford, Calif. --- Caitlin Wilson has steadily gotten faster throughout the outdoor season, and Sunday was no different as she leveled two school records while the San José State women's track and field team competed at the Payton Jordan Invitational.

The sophomore from Tallahassee, Fla., clocked a 24.14 in the 200-dash to beat her previous record of 24.36 which she ran at the Long Beach Invitational (4/15). It is the fourth time that she has lowered her season-best in 2016.

Wilson's 11.76 in the 100-dash is the other school record, and the program's first 100-meter time under 12 seconds flat.

"Caitlin ran two great races today," said Spartans' head coach Jeff Petersmeyer. "Makayla (Webb) continues to have a fine season, and I was pleased with how Cambree (Harbaugh) and Kelsey (Johnson-Upshaw) looked in the long jump."

Kelsey Johnson-Upshaw recorded a season-best 5.83 meters in the long jump, and Cambree Harbaugh matched the same distance. The two Spartans finished in fourth place among a competitive field of 18 long jumpers.

"We are off next weekend, and will be fresh and ready to go for the Mountain West Championships the following week," Petersmeyer added.

The conference championships take place Wednesday May 11, through Saturday, May 14, in Fresno, Calif.
