Azusa, Calif. --- San José State's Kolbi Sims turned in another solid performance and Destiny Longmire was top-10 in the long jump as the Spartan women's track & field team continued a busy week in Southern California at the Bryan Clay Invitational.

Sims shaved over two seconds in the 400-meter hurdles from her time a few weeks ago with a 1:03.73 to lead all Spartans on Friday. She finished 24th in the field of 68. Freshmen Diamond Tabron ran a 1:06.25 and Sahla Cook clocked a 1:06.38.

A day after jumping 1.60 meters in the heptathlon at the Mt. SAC Relays/CA Invitational, Sims nearly matched it on Friday with a 1.58 meter result. However it was Natalia Gutierrez who was the top Spartan in the event clearing the bar at 1.63 meters.

Destiny Longmire jumped 5.85 meters in the long jump to lead the crew of five Spartans in the event. Her distance was good for eighth place in a field of 79 entries. Kelsey Johnson-Upshaw finished 13th with a distance of 5.72 meters and Cambree Harbaugh was 27th at 5.49 meters.
