Albuquerque, N.M. --- The San José State women's track and field team had four more scoring results on the final day of the 2018 Mountain West Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Three Spartans scored in the triple jump, led by Nicole Iloanya who finished second and secured eight points for SJSU. A sixth-place finished for Cambree Harbaugh, the meet's long jump champion, secured three team points and Brittany Brown's eighth-place result earned one point.
Iloanya jumped an indoor San José State record 12.95 meters to take second place. She hit the mark on her very first jump.
"I'm really proud of Nicole," said Director of Track & Field Jeff Petersmeyer. "She missed all of last year with an injury and to come back and jump as many times as she did is very impressive. She was in the lead for a while today but the jumper from Wyoming had a great jump and beat her."
A 12.34 meter result for Harbaugh was a collegiate best and good for sixth place. Brown jumped 12.11 meters for her eighth place finish.
Brown also scored in the 60-hurdles final with a fourth place finish. She clocked a new school record 8.48, beating her own record of 8.68 from earlier this season. She added five team points for the Spartans.
Just missing a scoring finish was Kai Bohannon in the 3,000 meters. She ran a 9:50.07 and finished in ninth place, just a couple of seconds behind the eighth and final scoring position.
San José State finished the championships in 11th place with 34 points - the most SJSU has produced in its fourth trip to the MW Indoor Championships. UNLV took the title with 99 points.
"We're inching our way to being in contention," said Petersmeyer. "We had some distance runners that were just outside of scoring with ninth place finishes. We scored with Brittany today who had a new PR and school record in the 60-hurdles. We're built for outdoor, and I think we're setup to have a really good outdoor season."
The Spartans will have a few weeks to rest up before outdoor season begins on March 16-17 at the Hornet Invitational.
