Women's Track & Field Records In Long Jump & 5,000 Meters

There are new San Jose State marks in the women's long jump and women's 5,000 meters.

AT SJSU: Completed her second season as a long jumper and short sprinter in 2015-16 … A 2016 Arthur Ashe, Jr., Sports Scholar.


INDOOR: Competed in three meets as a long jumper and sprinter … Finished in sixth place and scored three points for the Spartans in the Mountain West Championship long jump with a mark of 5.89 meters … Season-best 60-meter dash time of 7.88 (a) came at the NAU Friday Night Duels (1/13) … Clocked a 7.89 in the 60 meters at the Armory Track Invitational (2/3).

OUTDOOR: Qualified for the NCAA Championship West Preliminaries long jump for the first time in her career … Achieved her college-best long jump mark of 6.24 meters at the NCAA Prelims which ranked her 15th among the top-48 long jumpers in the NCAA West Region … Jumped a wind-aided 6.06 meters in the Mountain West Championships long jump to finish in fourth place and score five points for the Spartans … Finished the season having competed in the long jump at nine meets.

Indoor: Competed in the long jump at four meets with a season-best 5.71 meter result coming at the Don Kirby Invitational (2/12) … Ran the 60-meter dash in 7.86 at the Jackson’s Open (12/12).
Outdoor: Competed in the long jump and the 100-meter dash … Season-best 5.97 meters in the long jump at the Mountain West Championship (5/11-14) … Clocked a 12.43 in the 100-meter dash at the Bulldog Invitational (4/23).


Competed in four long jump events while also participating in the 55 and 60 meter dashes ... Finished eighth with a season-best 5.63 meter mark in the long jump at the Mountain West Championship (2/27) and put team points on the board for SJSU ... Ran a 7.46 in the 55-meter dash at the Run For The Dream (2/16) ... Ran a 7.90 both times she competed in the 60-meter dash (NB/Boise Indoor Invitational & MW Championship) ... Recorded 11.17 meters in her one and only triple jump event of the indoor season at the Armory Collegiate Invitational (1/31).

Competed in nine meets as a freshman long jumper and 100-meter dash specialist ... Became the first women's conference champion in the history of the program with her victory in the Mountain West Championship long jump ... Through rainy conditions, she jumped a season-best 5.94 meters on the third and final attempt to win the championship (5/13-16) ... Scored 10 points in the long jump and another one for competing on the seventh place 4x100-meter relay team at the MW Championship ... Clocked a new school record 12.13 in the 100-meter dash at the Longhorn Invitational (5/2) ... Ran a 12.13 in the 100-meter dash at the MW Championship ... Selected to the All-Mountain West team following the results of the championship.

Ranked 19th nationally in the long jump as a senior according to ... 2014 Texas 5A State Champion in the long jump with a distance of 19-feet-7.5 ... finished third in the long jump at the 2013 Texas 5A State Championships in Austin ... personal bests include 19-feet-7.5 in the long jump, 40-feet-2 in the triple jump and 12.10 in the 100-meter dash ... also a letterwinner in basketball.
