It's the second time in three years that an SJSU freshman has won the long jump at the MW Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Rancho Verde High School in Moreno Valley, Calif. … The 2016 Inland Empire League champion in the 100-meter dash, the long jump and was on the championship-winning 4x100-meter relay team … Finished first place in eight out of nine long jump events during senior year, including at the Mt. SAC Relays … Also notched four first-place results in the triple jump during 2016 … Fourth place out of 45 entries in the long jump at the Arcadia Invitational (4/8/16) … Fourth place in the 2015 CIF South Section Division I Finals as a junior.
