Daveon Collins is in his first season with the San José State women’s track and field program. The three-time NCAA All-American sprinter will assist the Spartans’ sprint group.
Collins came to San José State after coaching West Seattle High School’s sprints and relays.
The 2014 graduate of Arizona State University earned a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies. He was an NCAA All-American sprinter in the 200-meter dash at Boise State before transferring to ASU where he became an All-American as a member of the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relay teams.
Collins is still actively training and has qualified for the 2017 USA Track and Field Indoor National Championships. He finished sixth in the 60-meter dash at the 2016 championships.
