Women's Tennis Adds Top Prospect

San Jose, Calif. -- Jessica Willett of Bonsall, Calif., signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the San Jose State University tennis team beginning in the 2011-12 school year. Spartans head coach Anh-Dao Nguyen-Church made the announcement.

Willett will graduate from Fallbrook High School at the end of the 2010-11 school year. In her junior season, she put together a 31-5 record in singles.

The five-foot-six right-hander is listed as a three-star recruit by The Tennis Recruiting Network. Willet has spent time in the number-one doubles position for Fallbrook in its fall season this year.

San Jose State finished last season with a record of 33-50 in doubles matches.

"Jessica will be a big asset to our team in many ways," said Nguyen-Church. "Not only does she have a great game and attitude, but she is strong in the classroom as well."
