2014 Duke Fab 4 Invite - Day 1 Results

Cary, N.C. ----- San José State University's 46th-ranked doubles team of Marie Klocker and Gaelle Rey dropped their first two matches of the 2014 Duke Fab 4 Invite Friday.

In the opening match, the sophomore tandem fell to the University of Florida's Brianna Morgan and Brooke Austin by an 8-2 margin.

Later in the day, Klocker and Rey dropped an 8-2 decision to Duke's Alyssa Smith and Rebecca Smaller.

"It was a tough day," said head coach Sylvain Malroux. "They played against some of the best players in the country, but we have seen some good tennis and it's a great learning experience for our young players."

Klocker and Rey will take on the University of Alabama's Natalia Maynetto and Danielle Spielmann on Saturday in the consolation third place match. Due to potential inclement weather, the match's start time is to be determined.
