Tennis Adds On With An NLI Signing

Emily Prescott of Mill Valley, California has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete for  San Jose State University's women's tennis team during the 2010-11 season. Spartans' Head Coach Anh-Dao Nguyen-Church made the announcement.

In 2008 the lefty helped her team to a Marin County Athletic League Championship as a junior. Also that year, Prescott was awarded a USTA Leaderboard medal for finishing the year, #1 in her Northern California geographic area.

Prescott was team captain for a second time during her senior season and was named tennis MVP at Tamalpais High.

"Emily is a great up-and-coming player who is eager for more," said Nguyen-Church. We are confident that she will come in and fight hard on the court for our team this year."
