Denver, Colo.-----For the fourth time this season, San Jose State University’s Klaudia Boczova is the Western Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week.
In matches the week ending April 7, the sophomore from Bratislava, Slovakia, Boczova posted a 3-0 combined singles and doubles record. Playing in the #1-singles position, she defeated McKenzie Davis of Utah State, 7-6, 6-3, and Denver’s Sophia Bergner, 6-2, 6-4.
Boczova teamed with Jessica Willett in doubles to defeat Denver’s Emma Isberg and Mandy van den Eerenbeemt, 8-5.
For the season, Boczova is ranked #44 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association national rankings in singles with an 11-3 record. In doubles, she has a 9-3 win-loss record.
San Jose State (14-5, 6-1 WAC) concludes the regular season with matches against Idaho on Friday, April 12, and UTSA, on Saturday, April 13. Both matches will be played at the University of Idaho.
