Women's Tennis Shut Out In Reno

The San Jose State women’s tennis team opened up their three game stint in Reno Nevada with a 7-0 loss to the University of Nevada on April 3.

In singles, sophomore Anna Guzman put up the best score of the day for San Jose State, losing to Caroline Stevens, 6-2, 6-1.

The remaining singles for the Spartans: Amber Silverstone, Olivia Marshall, Kerri Kummer, Jennifer Williams, and Sanda Hadzisabic all lost in straight sets.

In doubles, San Jose State pairings of Megan Kummer/Williams, and Marshall/Guzman both lost 8-1, while Silverstone/K. Kummer were shut out, 8-0.

San Jose State drops to 10-9 on the season, and will resume tomorrow starting at 9:30 a.m. against Fresno State, followed by a match against New Mexico State beginning at 2:00 p.m.
