BOISE, Idaho -- The San Jose State women's tennis team was shutout by No. 67 Boise State, 5-0 on April 2 in Boise, Idaho.
The Spartans were swept in the doubles competition and after dropping the first four matches in singles to the Broncos, the match was called.
Sabastiani Leon Chao was one of two for San Jose State that didn't finish their singles matches. Leon Chao fell in the first set 6-4 and was down 1-0 in the second to Lauren Megale when the match finished.
The remaining Spartans: Christine Nguyen, Olivia Marshall and Chau Truong all lost in straight sets.
"Boise State is a good team and a tough opponent," said Spartans' head coach Anh-Dao Nguyen-Church. "We have to keep our heads up and get ready for next week."
San Jose State will return to the Bay Area after five straight matches out of state. They will square off against area rival Santa Clara at the SCU campus on April 5.
