Spartans Up To #66; Travel To Utah State

San Jose, Calif. --- The San Jose State women’s tennis team is nationally ranked for the fifth time this season in the Intercollegiate Tennis Rankings (ITA) ranking #66 in the April 2 NCAA Division I poll.

The Spartans moved up seven spots from the #73 spot in the March 26 rankings.  There were no rankings for singles and doubles players on April 2. Individually, Sophomore Klaudia Boczova is #44 in singles play based on the March 26 rankings.

In conference match play, the Spartans (13-4, 5-0 WAC) went 3-0 in the last three dual matches held at the Texas State Tennis Complex. After defeating Seattle U. 7-0 on Friday, March 29, UT Arlington 4-2 on March 30, and Texas State 4-2 on Sunday March 31, San Jose State now has a six-game winning streak.

The Spartans travel to Logan, Utah to compete in WAC dual matches on Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6.

On Friday, San Jose State faces Utah State (4-7, 0-3 WAC). The match begins at 12:00 p.m. at the Utah State Tennis Complex. The Spartans conclude their weekend dual matches when they take on the University of Denver (10-3, 3-1 WAC) on Saturday April 6.
