The remaining Spartan singles: Olivia Marshall, Kerri Kummer, and Jennifer Williams all lost in straight sets. Williams, who was 6-0 over the team's previous three matches, fell, 6-1, 6-1 to Montana's Lauren Gibson.

"Chau did a great job in number one singles today," said head coach Anh-Dao Nguyen-Church. "We'll have to take these next few days of practice to regroup the team, and get ready for our upcoming matches this weekend."
