SANTA CLARA, Calif. – San José State’s women’s tennis team built on its strong showing Friday at the 2015 Bronco Invitational and put together an even more impressive performance Saturday.

A day after winning five of the six singles matches they played, the Spartans swept all six in straight sets on Saturday. Sybille Gauvain, Marie Klocker, Gaelle Rey, Marine Dans and Miyo Kobayashi toppled their counterparts from Academy of Art, while Justine Deleval defeated Delaney Phanco of Nevada.

Rey/Dans and Deleval/Klocker each picked up wins in the morning doubles portion. With inclement weather in the forecast for Sunday, all four teams played an extra set of doubles at the end of the day Saturday. The Spartans tacked on two more wins in the afternoon slate to bring their doubles tally to four of six on the day.

In total, San José State won 10 of their 12 matches Saturday. Play wraps up with one round of singles Sunday at the Degheri Tennis Center.
