Spartans Pick Up Three Wins To Close Out Saint Mary’s Invitational

Oct. 8, 2017

Moraga, Calif.----- San Jose State University singles players Laura Malsert and Savannah Sendar and the doubles pair of Malsert and Miyo Kobayashi were winners on the final day of the Saint Mary’s Invitational women’s tennis tournament.

“Overall it was a pretty tough tournament for us, record wise. Our biggest concern right now is getting more consistent play from everyone. One day we have someone playing smart and aggressive, the next day, it’s a different player,” said San Jose State women’s tennis head coach Chad Skorupka.

The Spartans return to action, Thursday, October 19, at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships at the Taube Tennis Center on the Stanford campus.
