Fall Season

I blinked. The season is already two-thirds of the way over. Pretty soon, another blink...WAC Championship. The fall season has been such an amazing experience to be a part of. First up was Stanford, which is always one of the most exciting meets, because it officially marks the start of a brand-new season.

Then came the WAC Shootout. Although we didn't see the results we had hoped for, it became a building block to improve and tune up our skills for the WAC Championship come February.

Nike Cup (Toshiba Classic) is always one of the favorites for the team. Finishing sixth overall with UCLA, Stanford and Cal being present was a pretty amazing accomplishment for us this year. Not only was it a bonding experience more than anything, but the team spirit was intense, "providing a hostile environment," as Sage would say. Witnessing so many personal-best times be shattered and new school records be put into place was more emotional than anything. We have carried that momentum into our practices, day in and day out, not only in the pool, but in the weight room as well, as we prepare for future dual meets, ultimately ending in February in San Antonio, Texas.

We hope to see you at future meets. Please continue your support of the swim team!
