San Jose, Calif. - Five Spartans, Marisa DaWames, Kiley Foster, Erika Harvey, Kirsten Trammell and Darcie Anderson, will take to the pool this week competing at the Olympic Team Trials in Omaha, Neb. for a chance to represent our country on the 2012 U.S. Olympic Swimming Team in London laterthis summer.
Fans can watch the San Jose State athletes, and entire meet, through live streaming at www.nbcolympics.com beginning today, Monday, June 25 through Monday, July 2.
Finals will air, throughout the week, live on NBC at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time and 7:00 p.m. Central Time, but will be on tape delay in the Mountain Time Zone (7:00 p.m. Mountain) and Pacific Time Zone (8:00 p.m. Pacific). Those in the tape-delay time zones can still catch the action live at NBCOlympics.
Trammell and Anderson kick off the week for Sparta competing in the 100 breaststroke. The heats and semifinals are scheduled for Tuesday with the final on Wednesday.
DeWames, who will be competing in two events, gets her first crack at making the team on Friday with the heats and semifinals of the 100 freestyle. The final will be contested on Saturday.
DeWames, Foster and Harvey will wrap up the week for San Jose State in the 50 freestyle. The prelims and semifinals are set for Sunday with the final on Monday.
